Marian offers Jikiden Reiki a style which is Eastern and originates from the Usui method practiced in Japan.
Reiki, a natural and non invasive sytem of natural healing.
Using channelled energy or life force to relieve most complaints physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
The name 'Reiki' comes from the Japanese words meaning 'Rei' that is 'Universal Spirit' and 'Ki' meaning 'life force energy'.

Reiki is an ancient traditional hands -on healing. Probably thousands of years old. Rediscovered through Sanskrit writings by Dr Mikao Usui, a Japanese Theologian in the 20th century.
Reiki restores balance within the body.
Reiki is an holistic treatment, therefore it works simultaneously on the mind, body and spirit.
Reiki is not harmful and has no side affects. A person cannot recieve too much Reiki , the flow of the energy simply stops when the person has recieved all they need.
It is not necessary to believe that Reiki works, Reiki does work. It is the channelling or pouring forth of the universal life force which has a higher intelligence therefore is not subject to our beliefs. It works on believers and skeptics alike without prejudice.

During a Reiki Healing Session Marian places her hands over the areas of concern or the chakra centres, in the Reiki tradition.
Sometimes heat or coolness may be experienced from Marian's hands. This depends on how the energy is being recieved for the individual both experiences are OK.
Marian Channels the energy through her energy system and pours the life force energy out of her hands for the recipient to recieve. It is the Universal Life Force which is being channelled and at no time is the person in receipt of Marian's own energy, Marian is simply a vehicle or conduit for this energy during the treatment.
A Reiki healing session may last for one hour.
How many sessions needed would very much depend upon the individual and their issue or complaint. Basically Marian leaves the need for the Reiki Energy very much with the individual who knows their own needs at any given moment or time. She places the responsibility for how many treatments upon the person and places no obligations or restrictions in regard to the number of sessions.
Generally speaking a person may only require 3 or 4 sessions on average but their is no rule on this.
IMPORTANT
Reiki is not considered a substitute for Medical Practitioner Care. Marian herself is not a Medical Doctor therefore will not diagnose. Therefore the Reiki Marian gives, if a person is under medical care, is alongside and complimentary to any present medical attention and treatment. The Reiki does not interfere with any conventional treatment.
In cases where treatment is given to children under the age of consent, a written consent by the parents or guardian is required and also the presence of the child's desired parent or guardian during treatment.

Marian is also a Teacher of Reiki and will hold private, individual as well as group trainings.
